Kazaa isn't a site - it's a network, that's the point of it all.
Rather than having to get behind one line for the same file as sought
by everybody else, you can find the file from numerous sources and
download from as many as needed until you've gotten the completed file.
Because files are contributed by users rather than to a central
company data file, the number of available songs approaches virtual
limitlessness.
The problem? To get into peer-sharing, you need a peer-share client
software. While most of those programs are free, most of them come
with nasty spy-ware - which is why an above poster suggested both
Spybot (also recommended in addition is Lavasoft's Ad-ware S&D). Two
programs I recommend are WinMX & DC++. I have used WinMX for about 3
years with little trouble - it's spyware free. However, it's also user
manual free, help-page free, tech support free (you get the idea).
More experienced users have created extremely helpful FAQ's. though
you'll still need to invest some time learning how to best use the
program. I've also given DC++ a try, but remain happy enough with
WinMX that I've seen little need to get into it.
