eMusic charges a monthly subscription for a limited number of downloads
a month. The limit depends on the price you pay. Lowest is 40 songs
for ten bucks; highest is 90 songs for twenty bucks. So, the price per
song depends on how many you download in a month. If you sign up for
the ten bucks a month plan, and download all 40 songs, it's twenty-five
cents a song (the $20 plan comes to 22 a song), but if you download
only one song, it will cost you ten dollars just for that song.

Further, with iTunes, downloading an entire album often costs less, but
never more, than downloading all its songs individually.
