The main difference between the iPod and everything else is in which
online music stores you can use... The iPod family of players will play
songs from iTunes Music Store, and every other player will play music
from every other store.

I have a Creative Zen Micro and I love it. The Zen Neeon should be
great. Aside from that I can also recommend iRiver and Samsung's
players. Apple's iPods aren't all that bad, but they're nothing spectacular.
