1024KB, 1GB is 1024MB. This had always been the case until manufacturers
of storage devices introduced it to mean 1000 to make storage
capabilities sound better. To everyone else who understands computers
1KB=1024 bytes.

This goes back to the main point of my post, manufacturers will
manipulate facts to make things seem better. And that is even more the
case with compressed media. To claim an MP3 player stores 'n' hours of
music has absolute no meaning at all. It's a bit like a company who
makes writing paper claiming it stores 200 words per page....
