I've tried quite a few tag programs and with many of them I end up
wondering if even the developer actually uses the thing. If it's really this
difficult I'd add that program to the list
With MP3Tag I'd select the files to be tagged and then hit the
Filename - Tag button and write %year% %album% -%title% in that tool's
window. Hit OK and it's done. From there I could use the Tag - Filename tool
to make the file name any combination of the tags that I wanted. The program
saves about 10 of these parameter strings automatically and they'll be in a
drop down list on that tool's window. It will also preview the results for
you, but it isn't necessary as long as the file name stays the same. If you
make a mistake at this point you can just go back and change the parameter
string a bit. It's freeware too: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
