That was lame -a --comp 48

No options worked, with the typical 10:1 ratio.

--comp 48 is running OK right now.

must be I didn't understand what -a means

Stereo buys nothing in these files, so I thought
that converting to mono would cut the output size in half
with no other changes (allowing the above to be 24 vice 48).
