I, on the other hand, have a large pile of electronics based on SD
technology. The Lyra itself is a decent device regardless of the media
type. I'm rather pleased with the quality of encoding from FM
broadcasts. The thing has locked up on me several times during use, a
problem easily fixable by popping the battery for a few minutes. Gets
decent battery life, and the only reason I "retired" it is because I
have an iPod video. Still, I'd prefer the Lyra to the iPod if I were
going to be engaging in any activity that might cause the iPod's disc
heads to crash.
