I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. I've downloaded podcasts of
speeches, lectures, etc. to listen to in the car. Some of these are 2+
hours and recorded a low bitrates such as 8Kbits/s. These all sound
fine on my PCs, but every MP3 player I've tried plays them at the wrong
rate, too slow for example. And none of the Vendors and/or reviewers
ever talk about bit rate compatabilty. There are uses beyond music out
there!!!!1
