In CDex, I've got LAME set up as an external encoder. Currently, for an
alt-preset standard encode, I'm using the command line -V2 - %2 with
"on-the-fly encoding" and "send WAV header to stdin" both selected.
Everthing seems to be working OK this way (I get a wonderful encode of pure
static if I don't have the "WAV header to stdin" checked).
I was just wondering, before I start any mass encoding, if I've got
everything covered that I should have with my simple command line. The CDex
help file shows the following as a LAME example for doing on-the-fly
encoding: -v -V4 -ms -b%4 -x - %2. Obviously I'm not using most of this
information, so I got a little curious about the correctness of what I'm
doing. Any takers?
Thanks,
Greg
