I listen to Audible (.aa) files on my iPod and all I have/had to do was
download a type 2, 3 or 4 file from Audible, add it to iTunes (if you
haven't played an Audible file in iTunes before it will ask you to
authorise it using your audible username + password), after that it
will be playable in iTunes and sync to your iPod.
Hope this helps.
