Foobar2000 (another player) ant its Diskwriter plugin. It's as simple as
opening the files in the player, then right-clicking them and
selecting "Convert".
It'd be best to have the new MP3's put in a separate folder (keep the
originals since they will sound better).
Or better yet, there are CLI-encoder frontends like All2LAME and
Multi-Frontend. With those, once you have them set up the way you want,
it's as simple as dragging the files in from Windows Explorer (i.e. your
desktop or My Computer) and clicking "Go".
