If you have a device with genuine mp3 recording you should get an hour
into ~28 meg at 64kps bit rate. I use a player from Nextway, a "Digital
Dream Device", no longer in production any more I think, but possibly
available from low end outlets. It has microphone, external line in,
built in speaker as well as headphone out. The recording is configurable
for line in, external mic, internal mic at bit rates from 128 all the
way down to 8. I suggest voice could be recorded at 16 with reasonable
but not hi-fi quality
