I want to purchase iAudio G3 2GB. Everything about it seems to be just
right for my needs (minus looks and earphones, they look like two
stethoscopes, ugh):
1. sizable memory (2GB = a loooooot of music)
2. radio (recordable)
3. voice rec. (with direct mp3 encoding)
4. powered by 1 AA battery - 50 hours non-stop they say!! (super for my
bike expeditions! 2 akkus+charger and I can use it ceaselessly!)
5. chip memory (ideal for sports, no movable parts)
6. lightweight
7. latchkey portability (the armband solutions do not convince me)
But it is *nowhere* to buy - I started with my own country (Poland) and
extended the search everywhere else - to no avail (maybe my googling
skills are rusty). Yes iAudio G3 1GB is possible to find but not the 2GB
model.
Do you know the reason for Cowon's withdrawal of this product? They
introduced other models (U2, 5, etc) but the built-in battery
disqualifies them in my eyes.
Is it worth waiting for a G3 comeback or should I go for the new Sandisk
Sansa m250/260 with 2/4GB on board coupled with some less appealing
characteristics (no *.wav playing, 1 x AAA = 17 hours playtime, etc, but
it's cheaper than iAudio I must admit)?
comments/advice awaited
