If it hits 20 a gallon i'd still pay it.
I would simply have to cut back on other areas i.e. stop buying dvd's, don't
buy as many
clothes, no going to the cinema or for meals etc This then results in the
retail/service industries going into decline
and will force a recession. Putting up petrol prices and thinking
everyone will give up their cars because of it is ridiculous.
To get on topic i bet most people would even give up their HC setup
(TV,VCR,SKY,DVD) before their car.
