Is it even correct to say 50 frames per second though? The film would be
over in half the time! Granted PAL is 50Hz, so one half of a frame
(field) is shown every 50th of a second, giving you 25 'complete' images
per second (25fps). I'm sure you know this though. PAL DVDs still play
back at 25fps regardless of whether they're interlaced or progressive.
Just curious.
