If they allow it, that will be the weak point in the security system, as it
was for CSS.
I think the grab for money from the MPAA and CE companies will cause them
to allow software players, because they will get a cut of each sale. They
won't see that if piracy really is the problem they say it is, losing the
fairly small amount of cash from the software licensing ($250 million tops)
is a small price to pay to save the more than $2B they claim to lose each
year to piracy.
