Newsbin is the software I use - it joins all the disparate parts together.
Also you need to have software to fix corrupted files because the people in
these newsgroups nearly always post parity (PAR) files to fix any problems
occuring at upload.

And if you want to watch a programme without having to start 10 AVI files
you will need video joining software

But the effort is worth it
