I wrote it in 1999. I spent around 2 years trying (and failing) to get an
agent/publisher. I spent another few years re-editting (amonst other things
of course). After finishing editing I didn't bother trying again to find an
agent -as anyone who has tried would know... it's far too stressful.
Anyway, last year I found out about www.trafford.com
You pay them to publish it. They send you 40 copies and some promotional
material. They also register it and put it for sale on amazon.com and a lot
of other places. As people buy from those sites (or direct from trafford),
they print the book and ship it (to amazon I think).
Of course I'm free to sell it direct or to shops, etc. as I wish, but I have
no time for that at the moment.

Once I began this route, I found another book was stuck in me head. I reamed
that one out at the end of last year/ start of this year and I am now once
again in the "looking for agent" mode.
