Rome is a slow burner I think it should do well over here with an audience
that would have more of an interest in all things roman with a population
that has grown up with roman history and artefacts littered all over the
country. Im up to Ep 5 on this, though at times a little bit too soap
opearery. It does have some good moments. What will hold my interest is the
length of the show. If its more than 2 to 3 seasons then it may become
somewhat boring.

Rome, deadwood (whenever S3 starts) and lost have become some must see TV
for me at the moment. Cant think of anything else on Tv that would make me
want to sit there with some hot chocolate and a digestive biscuit.

p.s love the way the networks jump on the bandwagon of a successful formula
from what the OP scribed.
