Objects In Space was definitely aired. That and Out Of Gas are my
favourite episodes.

Universal have apparantly said that $80 million is the target for them
to consider a sequel. That isn't looking good right now. Just read that
the estimated takings for the US after this weekend are $18 million.
It's a real shame it isn't doing better. Unfortunately quality counts
for nothing these days. Replace Nathan Fillion with Tom Cruise and it
would be a smash hit. Not that I'd have gone to see it.

DVD sales do make up a lot of a movie's profits these days though. Given
how well the Firefly DVD set sold, and how it is still selling, you'd
have to think that Universal are going to make a lot from that.

Rumour has it the region 1 DVD will be out on 20th December. No idea if
that is true.

Feel free to add some spoiler space and tell me that moment you can't
fathom the reason for. Having seen the movie three times I have been
able to form some semi-coherent thoughts about it! I have a feeling I
can guess which moment you mean, and if so I do actually understand why
it was done.

I loved everything about the movie. I'd go as far as to say that this is
my Star Wars, since I could never understand the fuss about that movie!
Admittedly Serenity takes a lot of influence from Star Wars. Two of the
reasons I never got into SW was crappy dialogue and acting. Excellent
dialogue and acting are two reasons I loved Serenity (Kaylee's 'twixt my
nethers' line and Mal & Jayne's reactions to it crease me up every time).

Thankfully Whedon realised you can't just make a 2 hour episode of
Firefly and stick it on screen. You have to raise the stakes for a
movie, and boy did he do that.

Jason.
