Hello Eddie, The majority of NEW TVs sold in the US are set to overscan.
That is, the picture on the screen is set at the factory to be a bit larger
than it is supposed to...!
To check your set, look at the Disney channel and look at the info crawl at
the bottom of the screen. If the set is overscanning then the info crawl
will be partly cut off. Same thing for news crawl on CNN Headline news.
If you see the news crawl even with the bottom of the TV screen, then your
TV is Overscanning.
What you would need to do, is to call the TV store & have them adjust the
set.
