I personally don't subscribe to the belief that Alcoholism is a disease
in the same sense that Heart condition is. If anything, its a mental
illness, but not even in the sense of a real one such as schizophrenia
or manic depression. Those can barely be controlled without medication.
There are functioning alcoholics who do not drink, and yes, they made a
choice.

Even if I subscribed to the belief that he couldn't control himself.
Then he still shouldn't have had that liver.

As for whether the belief that his current problems are directly linked
with his liver, the liver is one of those organs who has a vast amount
of different symptoms when its going wrong. I've heard of stomach
aches, persistent coughs and all sorts of maliases caused by liver
damage. Plus, when the owner is a transplantee abusing the organ
transplated already, you'd be safe to say that its related to that
organ. Unless he was hit by a bus or something...
