It probably is (in the US and UK, anyway).

However, Sony's a big company, presumably with strong political
influence. What's the betting they get away with it, and that the law
is changed to allow them to do this kind of thing in the future, and
make it illegal to attempt to remove or even comment on it?

With any luck Blizzard will sue:
