Yeah that's it, old films and TV shows usually saying what he is
thinking. I think that was the irony of it, he was brought up by the
TV and that was his world growing up and then he ends up as a book
editor. In later series his boss is Christopher Guest who plays an
aussie hard ass media tycoon I think.

I think it is only on Mondays to Fridays, have set my PVR for a daily
grab.
