Well a lots been written about the show over the last few weeks, considering
it has a lavish budget and some sex scenes and a little violence all
broadcast right after the watershed.
The seris in my opnion has a little of everything from politics family
drama, soap opera, sex. Its not the best programme I have seen, buts its a
genre and time period I quite enjoy. Having it shoved down your throat in
junior school has that effect I suppose.

The Show basically is showing the rise and fall of ceaser, not sure how
historically acurate it is....... but no one call really tell as everyone
who was alive then is dead. The show tends to focus on the Two soldiers and
their fortunes during Ceasers rise and fall. The fight scenes are thank fuck
not from the ridley scott school of fighting. But the fights are often
brutal and quick. But you do get to see everything.

To those that are looking for a different genre or time period for their
entertainment purposes and those that have a basic knowledge of Roman
histroy Watching Rome will be quite rewarding. As will those that enjoy
watching the antics of Phil and Grant .....for some reason every grunt
soldier is a cockney....way hey

Oh and the show has one very weird sex game in it which I would guess that
the BBC are going to cut as I think they will a number of scenes especially
in the lead up to christmas and family values blah blah blah. So if you want
to see the show uncut get hold of the HBO copies and not the cut BBC ones.
