Have you been pressing the SURROUND button? If you have, you might have
switched it into 2.1ch mode. Make sure it's set to AUTO.

As to DTS, did you read the manual? Check the notes on page 7 (and
everywhere else DTS is mentioned) - DTS support is only for output to an
external amp/receiver that can decode DTS, I'm suprised you get any sound at
all in the THX configuration for DTS. Stick to 5.1 as the audio option on
the DVDs you play. Oh, and make sure the TV has it's sound turned off, it's
entirely possible that's what you're hearing which will be just stereo (or
some virtual stereo that tries to simulate surround).
