Hoi,

As the fans already know by now Universal will release the directors cut of
'The Frightners' in december

The specs are not al that clear ..it seems that the R2 release will have DTS
but R1 don't.
The R1 edition will be a 1 DVD-18 disc.
The R2 edition will come as a 3 disc edition...BUT ... in Germany there will
be a 4 disc edition including the theatrical version... and it seems that
this is a new transfer and not some old R2 left overs packed in a new
box.... this 4th disc will have an anamorphic transfer (the old isn't) en it
includes an intro by Peter Jackson

This 4th disc is 'just' English and has German, French AND English (hoh)
subtitles.

So what I don't understand is that this 4 disc edition isn't available for
pre-order in England and/or France (the presence of the subtitles does
indicated a pan-europe transfer)

Sooooo: did I miss something and is this 4 disc edition also going to be
available in the rest of Europe?
