Hello,
too lazy to check, if it's still available, but I VERY highly recommend
"Crying Freeman", a nice box, thick, french booklet. I'm not too
sure, if it's 1 or 2 disks. The film is a "real life" version of the
first 2-3 Books of the Manga. From Bryan Yhutzna (sp?
"Re-Animator" etc.). Very good transfer, a french interview with
the director, I think. Warning: no english subtitles, as some scenes
are japanese, you may miss some finer points. But not much to worry.
I'm not sure, if there are french subtitles for these scenes.

Also some of these films might be worth checking into, depending
on your french: Jean Reno-Films (Purple Rivers 1+2?), The Transporter.
Pakt of the wolfs (packque du lups?).

I also bought Barton Fink from amazon.fr, but can only warn
against it: no extras, and when playing the english version you
get french subtitles. On some players there are ways around it,
but not on mine (my old Pioneer died, there I could watch it without
subtitles). Transfer is clean and ok.
At the time I bought it, there was no other version available. And it was
cheap.

Bye,
Ingo Lembcke
