I don't know when he started saying it, but after a quick search, I found

It's _possible_ I heard Ed Byrne after that (if that was my first time
saying it on usenet), but I don't remember that. There might be other
examples on there somewhere of me pointing it out, but there are a few
better things I have to do with my time. :)
