I've spent 10+ minutes looking, but I still don't quite see what this is all
about...

Buy various "movie collections" in one go to have them available on your
server? Do you download these movies onto the server or get them on by some
other means?
In what way is that better than having a multi-changer or collection of dvd
rips on a computer, full of movies that you actually _want_ to have there
(and have already paid for)?
