I think if you want any serous help with this, you need to clarify exactly
what is cabled to where, and what the sockets are like.

As I understand your post, you have the stuff downstairs RF looped to the
downstairs TV which is working fine.

Then you have the RF2 from downstairs Sky box, run outside, then up into a
double socket (being used as 1 in, 1 out) in the playroom.

Socket 1 from this walllpate you have connected to a 2 way amplifier. One
amp output feeds the playroom TV. The other amp output goes back into the
wall socket (Socket 2) which then runs into the bedroom and feeds the TV
there.

Are you sure the amplifier hasn't stopped working? The signal at the double
walllplate seems to be OK from your post.

My guess would be that the amp is toast. When you say "if I plug the cable
into the wall socket to make the loop around to
the bedroom I get almost no picture in the bedroom" what cable are you
talking about? You just need a small coax cable to plug the socket output
back into the socket input, which then feeds the bedroom directly. If tihs
works then it's the amp.......

I guess you could run a cable from the playroom wall socket into the
playroom TV, and see if this works. It should. Then unplug it from the TV
and put it into the amp. Run another cable direct from the amp to the
playroom TV. This prob won't work and would confirm the amp is dead.
