If you tell your VCR that for non-terrestrial channels to use one of the AV
inputs then yes, but you must make sure the Freeview box is set on the channel
you want to record or to also make sure you program the Freeview box to come
on using it's timer function.

As setting the VCR will only make it record from the AV source, you need to
tell your AV source (Freeview box) to switch on/switch to the correct
channel - so it means programming two devices.

If you were to get a DVD recorder with built-in Freeview tuner, it would make
things a little easier.
