Can i add a cynical note to this discussion.....

Who will win......Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, Toshiba.....etc....

They'll be the only real winners, assuming it's a 50/50 split with people
buying either machine. When that 50% have to buy the "other" machine cos
there's lost, only the manufacturers will win, as normal.

It makes you wish we lived in a world where consumers would turn around, en
masse, and refuse to buy either until they get it sorted out.

But, what do i know...
