This is true and altho I only have about a dozen DVDA/SACD's I am wondering
if its worth spending soo much on the Denon just for 12 discs? ESP as the
release of titles is simply a joke in the UK - Do you buy from USA?

Now thats the funny thing here because its my Pioneer 565a which has packed
up! Hence the need for a new machine. I am considering a bid as i do
really like the 565a BUT now I have HD enabled TV I really want to use that
route. Must say the price is very good at the mo.
I am interested on your thoughts of the Denon 1920 in terms of pic sound
quality as well as that awful looking remote along with the on screen menus.
If you could post any here I would be grateful. The reason for asking is
that after writing this post I called a Hi Fi shop who said the Denon 1920
was only a "basic" player and recommended the Denon 2910 (extra 300) or a
pioneer at 500 to 600 quid which was above my way of thinking on price let
alone features. He also said that cheaper HDMI cables were inferior to more
expensive ones but could not explain *why* even tho its digital so its
either there or not ie ones and zeros. See my post above / below called
"Which HDMI lead to buy?"
I am still tempted by the 1920 tho and can wait for it to come back in
stock.
