Actually a lot of the budget releases are single layer.
Look for info on the box that calls the disc a DVD5 disc.
(Dual layer are DVD9)

However, take it back right now.
If they give you the *layer change* nonsense DEMAND to see the manager,
inform him his staff are incompetent as they are suggesting that a dual
layer disc will change layers more than twice and demand your money back.
(If you want to go into a speil as to WHY dual layer discs change layer and
how, and that to change layer 4 or 5 times would not only need 4 or 5
layers, but technology that does not yet exist.)

Even better, check it WITH a DVD5 disc, and take THAT in to be played then
laugh at the layer change excuse and demand your money back... (Come to
think of it, that would be MUCH more fun!! Do that !!!)

Don't take in a burn though, they'll just balme it on the fact it's not an
*original* (As if that should matter!)

Examples of DVD5
The *Sanctuary Special Edition* of "The Dead Zone".
ANY of the *Firefly* "Peanuts" collection, ("Snoopy the musical", "Easter
Beagle", "Valentine Special" etc etc)
The *Cinema Club* release of "Heathers" (Maybe ANY Cinema Club release?
Would say on the box)
*Prism Leisure*s "Alice through the looking glass"
*Prism Leisure*s "Sex-The Annable Chong Story"

In fact, if you have ANY DVD that runs to about 45 mins or just over an
hour, chances are they are DVD5, but always best to check!
I also think MOST of the DVDs that are given away with papers are DVD5 too
especially if they are *single episode of crap TV prog* discs... But again,
best to check.
