PRIDE AND PREJUDICE OUT TO OWN AND RENT ON DVD FROM 6TH FEBRUARY 2006

The sumptuous new adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel, Pride and
Prejudice, is being released on DVD by Universal Pictures (UK) Ltd on 6th
February 2006. The acclaimed movie - the first film version of Pride and
Prejudice for 65 years - is produced by Working Title Films in association
with StudioCanal.

Pride and Prejudice has provided the template for many recent romantic
comedies including Working Title's own blockbusters Bridget Jones's Diary
and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. This spectacular new film version,
directed by BAFTA Award-winner Joe Wright (Charles II: The Power & The
Passion), presents Jane Austen's powerful romantic tale as it was written.
