I love the Irish postal service. I seem to be in a minority, but I have a
nice postie and things don't generally go missing (ever -touching wood).
Still, I have a few friends in the post-office and *they* all complain that
staff and conditions are going/gone to the dogs. Things apparently are
getting worse (along UK-lines from what I hear).

Also, others seem to be on radio & tv complaining about the post regularly
for one reason or another.

Although I personally have no problem, I wouldn't go so far as to suggest
there is none, or that the problems are 'acceptable'. ;)

Thing is, as Trendy said, the 200,000 missing items are probably localised
to certain areas and at certain times of the year -when they're more prone
to reduce standards. If you were living in one of those places at those
times you would probably have a much higher ratio of missing post.

-Kevin.
