As with the other replies, how do you kow this? I'm no dound guy, but I
worked with one recently and he was pleased with the sound from an FX1E.

We were certainly able to use it, it was 'only' an interview, but it was
certainly satifactory for our purposes.

And I've shot in SD 4:3 and incorporated that footage into other footage
shot in conventional SD (a VX1000 I think) and there was little
difference in colour between the two. The FX1E footage looked a little
'clearer' - but that's subjective of course.

You're not going to know for sure unless you try it - can you not borrow
one for a short period to try it for youself?
