Larry,

I agree, but I was quoted over $75 for one cable and I want two - that
is over half the purchase price of the ~25KG beast! I understand that
these weird plugs were used on 3/4" decks as well, so maybe someone has
some old cables lying around. Of course I meant male to male plugs on
the lead NOT, as I originally stated, male to female! Teaches one to
post late at night.

If you have not see one of these plugs they are like a 7 pin DIN with a
BNC like twist lock.
