Doc,
Yes, video capture and edit and output on a PC has so many quirks and things
to know that could go wrong or be set wrong,
it's mainly trial and error and learning from each other on groups like
this, reading posts and google searches to figure things out.
That's why when I read a post asking how to get started, and they expect a
simple one sentence reply, or a friend asks, I am going to transfer and edit
my video tomorrow, what program should I use? I just cringe cause i think ,
oh man, do they have a lot to learn if they are serious about getting good
results.
Some people are lucky, buy these low cost software programs, and just do it,
and make dvd's and everyone is amazed.
Somehow they manage to bypass all the stumbling blocks we all had to
overcome, but that's life.
Things get easier for the masses and the early adaptors are the actual beta
testers for the rest of the world.
