Get an Avid?
Well actually you may not be too much better off.
Have you tried re-installing the FCP software?
Other than that try taking the project to another FCP (same versin) and see
if that works.
If not what about the autosave vault.
Or previous saved versions?
You do save a new version start of every day as a backup so go back and see
if they work.
Hope you get it open one way or another.
