Sounds like you are using something like "webcam" mode
where audio is not supported?

Not clear why you are using a camcorder?
Using Firewire would almost certainly support both full-
speed, full-frame video plus stereo audio either played back
from the tape, or live from the camcorder.

Usually not. It is meant for "webcam" type (low-speed, low-
resolution) use where audio is handled separately (if at all).
