You would also have a VIDEO_TS.IFO
The Backup (BUP) and Information (IFO) files are the same and
contain essential navigation and playback information.

This is the Video Object (VOB) file for the main menu, that lets
you select from among the Video Title Sets (VTS). It can contain
still images and/or motion clips for the menu, and in this one also
some additional small clips/images (FBI warnings and such)

{It surprises me if MEP10 won't see at least the first object in
the file.}

This contains the video objects needed for the Title menu, which
allows you to select among the chapters of that VTS.

These are all one (impossibly large, for a DVD-5) Title Set
It is a single video structure composed of matching MPEG
data, that has been broken up into acceptable DVD size
files. It would be more common to have some other VTS
file structures besides VTS_01 ( a VTS_02, ect...).

There are several ways to add material to the "Media Pool"
perhaps you can try just using the "Drive Tab" to browse
and load your file.
