I know this sounds nuts, but since just about every consumer TV out
there - analog direct-view, HD Direct-view, LCD/Plasma/DLP, whatever is
over-driven in some fashion, would it be reasonable to use a broadcast
monitor as the head of a home entertainment system??
Even though the largest monitor is only 20", at least you'd be
guaranteed a D6500 calibrated picture out of the box, right? None of
the red-push, or Contrast and sharpness driven into the high heavens,
as with a consumer set.
Or, is there a do-it-yourself procedure to getting a consumer set to
within striking distance of the picture offered by a studio monitor?
Thanks for your "input" on this.
