Within your CG program, you should have controls for things like edge
thickness, shadow, italics, leading/tracking, sizing, etc. Under the
color controls, every program I've ever worked on, from the oldest
chyron to the newest inscriber, has controls to select the edge color
and thickness, usually also independent controls for face and shadow
color choices too. I am unfamiliar with your particular app, if it
truly lacks these things, then go do it in p-shop or a similar image
editing program for your platfoem, then import as a luma or alpha key.
