I have used ver.5 in the last freelance job and it was solid for what I was
doing i.e compositing and grading. Seemed it had been given a speed up
under the bonnet as the background render screamed.

There is sooo much hype about Apple Shake and its amazingly popular here in
the UK. I can't help wondering why as F5 and even DF4 urinate all over
it..... The new 3d pipeline kicks some serious high end asses.

I can well and truly recommend F5 although some of the more useful 3rd party
plugins are missing at the moment due to architecture changes.
