Have you checked the actual sampling rate of the audio you captured on
the pass through? Check its properties. Perhaps there is a clue there.
If you record onto a tape first, any audio you record is going to come
back out at the rate the camcorder records at, likely 48Khz, but
maybe on the passthrough the audio gets no such treatment.
