I can't decide if I have a batch of bad tapes or if my camera is having
problems. I can shoot video and audio just fine, I can capture it to a
Premiere based system and edit it just fine, when I print to tape or just
play the time line back through the firewire to the camera the audio sounds
just fine, but when I rewind and check the tape the audio randomly drops
out. I have switched to the end of a tape from another batch and recorded a
second or two and the audio doesn't drop out but I don't have enough free
space on an old tape to fully test the problem.

Like I said the camera records video and audio just fine on a shoot but when
I try to go back to the camera via firewire I'm suffering random audio
dropouts even though when I listen to the audio as it's recording,the drop
outs aren't there. Has anyone else had this problem before?
