I would consider this a double-edged sword. I personally don't think the
product should have been released. But it was. At least they are trying
to "fix" it instead of letting you just be stuck with it. The updates
show that they do want to get it to work.

Me? Upgrading to Avid Liquid v7. It has all of what I want and need.
