There's a ton of old public domain movies on www.archive.org, a lot of
which I'm sure could be well-used in music videos.

You'd have to check the terms and conditions there for the precise
limits on usage, but much of it is available as MPEG-2 files at full
DVD/DV resolution (though only NTSC, you'd need to convert it if you're
in a PAL country).
